It consists of a 650-mile, eight-day stage race which is modeled after the Tour de France and considered the biggest and most important race in the United States.
Day 2 is Monday when riders will travel from Sausalito to Santa Rosa.
It will pass through Napa County on Tuesday during Stage 2 on its way to Sacramento. Stage 3 will travel from Modesto to San Jose before a Seaside to San Luis Obispo ride for Stage 4 on Thursday. Stage 5 will remain in Solvang on Friday then move from Santa Barbara to Santa Clarita on Saturday.
