Fewer expected to travel this Labor Day weekend

The Automobile Club of Southern California predicted a 1.4 percent dip in the number of people traveling this weekend, compared with the same period last year. About 2.7 million Southern California residents are expected to travel.

Nearly 200,000 people will fly in and out of Lindbergh Field this weekend, roughly the same number as last year, said a San Diego airport spokeswoman.
